Affirmation: The Word says I can hear God's voice and I believe it - I do hear the voice of God!

Has it ever dawned on you that you are responsible for other souls spiritually before God? - Oswald Chambers

Jesus wore the crown of thorns on His head so that you can have a sound mind free from fears, guilt, depression, anxieties and stress. - Joseph Prince

>"He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? - Romans 8:32

Who do you need Jesus to be at this time in your life? Do you need Him as your physical healer? Then define Him as Jesus, My Healer. Do you need Him to be your provider? Then call Him Jesus, My Provider. If you need Him to restore a relationship then call Him Jesus, My Restorer. Invite a well-defined Jesus into your circumstance and your circumstance will begin to yield to His presence. - Garris Elkins

Nothing sets a person so much out of the devil's reach as humility. - Jonathan Edwards

Affirmation: Nothing's wrong with God, nothing's wrong with the Word and nothing's wrong with me! I am going to receive my miracle!

How and what we communicate has the potential to change the atmosphere, creating the context for people to be released to their destiny. Therefore our communication skills must come under the influence of the Holy Spirit. Done correctly, our words are able to release the presence of God. - Bill Johnson

Our pride and self-confidence keep us from God's help; the clamor of our many ideas and desires drown the whisper of the still small voice of God. Indeed, in God's eyes, the best of human successes are still "wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked." - Francis Frangipane

"For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing; not knowing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked." Revelation 3:17

Remember that all the things of this world are transitory. All things are passing, and yourself with them. See that you do not cling to them, lest you become entangled and perish with them. - Thomas a Kempis

By perseverance the snail reached the ark. - Charles Spurgeon

Affirmation: Extravagant worship is my lifestyle.

God is looking for a people of faith. Jesus asked the question, "Will the Son of Man find faith on the earth when He returns in His glory?" We want to be found with a faith in God that is active and living. Passivity has no value in the Kingdom of God. God calls us to be actively engaging our faith by taking steps out into the unknown. - John Belt

Spiritual discontentment is the nature of a truly Holy Spirit-governed life. It will always be pressing on to something more of the Lord. - T. Austin-Sparks

"Not that I have obtained, or am already made perfect...but one thing I do, forgetting the things which are behind... I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 3:12-14

A dead man or woman does not react to an offense. The truth is that the person who is offended by the words of others only proves that death to self has not been finished. - Alice Smith

Lord, I desire to be crucified to self so that I may live totally for You. Amen - William J. Seymour

Affirmation: I minister others into Christ, disciple them, and equip them to disciple others.

Each of us has a promised land for our lives. God's promises are key to us entering into the vision that God has given us. If you are in a desert God is ready to take you out! Time to move on from eating manna to eating the food that God freely gives in the promised land of your destiny! - John Belt

If you don't keep your mind renewed with the Word of God, you will serve anything that comes along that disturbs you, especially your body. - Norvel Hayes

"Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind...." - Romans 12:2

Praise that flows from thanksgiving is described in Hebrews 13:15 as a "sacrifice." Praise should cost us something. Only then is it a proper response to the God who has given us the costly gift of His Son. - Bill Johnson

It is a stroke of satanic genius, and one of his most ancient devices, to persuade you piously to dedicate to God all that you presume to find good in the flesh, which God has condemned. -Ian Thomas

Affirmation: As I sit at the feet of Jesus I labor for the meat that He gives me which endures unto everlasting life.

One of the greatest mysteries is the wonder of Christ in us, the hope of glory. Believers who walk in the revelation of this reality walk in the fullness of truth with great power and authority and radiate the nature and character of Christ through His manifested glory. - Paul Keith Davis

In your daily routine, be sure to include a time for being quiet before the Lord and listening for Him to reveal His will for your life. - Jack Hayford

"The Lord is my light and my salvation....Psalm 27:1

Worship Him without having to know and see everything. Above all, live in the present moment and God will give you all the grace you need. - Francois Fenelon

I do not want merely to possess a faith; I want a faith that possesses me. - Charles Kingsley

Affirmation: I am becoming a passenger in the vehicle of His will, a vehicle in which He Himself is both captain and navigator.

What self-deception to expect to be in His heavenly kingdom in eternity, when we have resisted His claim to reign as Lord in our hearts here and now! - William Law

We are to labor every day to enter His rest. We are to rest inwardly and believe that the work is done because it is a finished work, and trust in God's undeserved favor toward us. We are to rest in Jesus our true ark who will carry us through tempestuous waters. - Joseph Prince

"...he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest..." - Hebrews 4:10,11

Any prayer that does not move us cannot move God. It is all a matter of power. Furthermore, as power is determined by pressure, all pressure comes with a purpose. - Watchman Nee

It is time that Christians were judged more by their likeness to Christ than their notions of Christ. - Lucretia Mott

Affirmation: On-going revelation and encounters with the power of God launch me into understanding of things I've never understood before.

God designed man to be led by his spirit, not driven by his environment. Man was intended to live through spiritual discernment , not physical senses. - Myles Munroe

The Great Commission is not the Great Suggestion. It is a draft, a call-up. It is a priority, the basic requirement of every church. We might ask this question: Has a church any right to exist if it does not carry out the purpose for which it exists? To be called to His service, to wear the livery of Christ, is the proudest honor a person can know. - Reinhard Bonnke

"I know your ways; you are neither hot nor cold. How I wish you were either not or cold! But because you are lukewarm, neither hot not cold, I will spit you out of my mouth." - Revelation 3:16

Become a "sponge" for new ideas that draw you closer to the Lord and His creative powers. - Steve Munsey

Heaven will be the endless portion of every man who has heaven in his soul. - Henry Ward Beecher

Affirmation: I must have my own revelation for the Father of who Jesus is. I refuse to settle for a shallow mental understanding of Him.

Learn how to demonstrate the Spirit of the Lord through your life not in word only, but in a demonstration of the Spirit that will cause people to declare that surely God is with you. - Keith Miller

Our passion and desperation for God occurs not once, but repeatedly and cyclically, as God continually turns our gaze toward eternity. The more our affections belong go God, the less satisfied we are with the world. Like Paul we begin to feel a longing to lead our hearts in pursuit of eternity. - Shawn Bolz

"Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling........so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life." 2 Corinthians 5:2-4

We understand what Christ's redemption means. It is the bringing out of Christ IN YOU, until Christ in you is the One manifest -- manifest through yours eyes just as God was manifest through the eyes of Jesus; manifest through your touch just as God was manifest through Jesus. - John Lake

The level of prayer you are seeking is a prayer free from a wandering imagination and from reasoning. - Michael Molinos

Affirmation: As I study the scriptures I submit my spirit to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

How many spiritual strongholds will be shattered in your moment of Spirit-breathed passion? Have you asked the fire of God to consume you? Then break free from the spirit of intimidation and loose your passion for His presence. - Tommy Tenney

Every day brings to the Christian many hours in which he will be alone in an unchristian environment. These are the times of "testing". This is the test of true meditation and true Christian community. Has the Church served to make the individual free, strong, and mature, or has it made him weak and dependent? Has it taken him by the hand for a while in order that he may learn again to walk by himself, or has it made him uneasy and unsure. - Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Something is very definitely wrong if we do not know the will of God for our lives, because "He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness." (John 8:12) - Watchman Nee

Epaphras prayed that the Colossians might stand "perfect and complete in all the will of God (Col 4:12)." This is proof positive that, not only may we know the will of God, but that we may know "all" the will of God. - E. M. Bounds

Jesus, baptize me with Your Spirit that I might be empowered to serve You in all that I do. Amen - William J. Seymour (February 1906)

Affirmation: I reveal spiritual thoughts with spiritual words, as the Spirit leads me.

God only moves forward. And so does His call upon your life. - Dennis Cramer

There is a better fast to go on than a fast from food! We can learn to fast from our own thoughts and opinions. Many times we don't hear God because our minds are too full of our own thoughts. Jesus is our example. He lived a perpetual fast from His own thoughts and opinions. He emphasized this truth continually. - Steve Sampson

"The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority (initiative); but the Father who dwells in Me does the works." - John 14:10

Does God speak to you? What are the blockages that keep you from listening to Him? - Alice Smith

You can unlock a man's whole life if you watch what words he uses most. Did you ever notice Christ's favorite words? If you have you must have been struck by two things -- their simplicity and their fewness. - Henry Drummond

Affirmation: I have an unrelenting hunger to watch the Kingdom break into this realm.

There is the danger and temptation to you, of drawing your minds into your business, and clogging them with it; so you can hardly do anything to the service of God. - George Fox

The "sword" in scripture is indicative of the Word of promise. Presently, we are attempting to battle the enemy with our promises. It is the Lord's intent to make us the promise. We are to become the Living Word (Romans 13:14). - Paul Keith Davis

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. - Romans 13:14

True Christianity sparks a flame in the human spirit. It ignites the heart with holy fervency for Jesus. - Mike Bickle

As the believer deepens in his abandonment to Christ, outward things (persecution, injustice, unfairness) are things no longer reacted to. - Jeanne Guyon

Affirmation: I am a co-laborer with Jesus in the Great Commission.

Jesus lost that Father-Son relationship when He was representing you and carrying your sins at the cross so that today, you can call God "Abba Father"! - Joseph Prince

Scripture often refers to us a "vessels" of the Lord (Jeremiah 18). The one thing about being living vessels is that we leak. We need refilling with water and food, joy and love, affirmation and communication. The same is especially true with the presence of the Lord in our lives through the Holy Spirit. The way we "Walk in the Spirit" is to be continually filled with the Spirit. - Che Ahn

"Let the Spirit direct your lives, and do not satisfy the desires of the human nature." - Galatians 5:16

He who would learn to pray well, must first study God's Word, and store it in his memory and thought. - E. M. Bounds

Free will, though it makes evil possible, also makes possible any love or goodness or joy worth having. -- C. S. Lewis

He cast out________________devils.

2. Go ye unto___________the world and preach the gospel

4. So after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received

2. Inheritance in Christ
Read Matthew Chapter 16

Matthew 16:18 - On this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Where precisely are the gates of hell? Where does the devil sit in power?

The mind is the gatekeeper of the Kingdom of God. It is the place of access, transition, and power. It follows that the gates of hell are set up in people's minds. Jesus made this clear:

Matthew 16:23 - But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."

He didn't say, "Peter, you devil worshiper!" He didn't say, "You are filled with all kinds of occult practices and deceits." He said, "Your mind is filled with the things of man."

The devil is empowered by human agreement. That mental posture was a gate from which satan was released to bring Peter's destruction.

Humanity without Christ at the center is satanic in nature. When you've been given the Spirit of God, you lose the privilege of claiming, "I'm only human." Paul rebukes the church at Corinth for behaving like mere men (1 Corinthians 3:3).

The gate of hell is in our minds any time we agree with a man-centered prespective or natural wisdom that does not know God. We empower demonic forces and become a gate to release his power to kill, steal, and destroy our lives.

Affirmation

I AM A GATEWAY FOR HEAVEN'S REALITY TO TAKE OVER EVERY PART OF MY LIFE, AND THE LIVES OF PEOPLE WHO I INFLUENCE, NO MATTER HOW BIG OR SMALL THE SPECIFIC SITUATION IS.

3. Dunamis Life

Philippians 1:28 -- Don't be afraid of your enemies; always be courageous, and this will prove to them that they will lose, and that you will win because it is God who gives you the victory.

Peace is spirit power.

Your peace, your immovable stand upon the word of God is a sign that you are positioned correctly in perfect submission to the will of God.

The very fact that you are not frightened by your adversary is a sign that you have authority over him.

Ephesians 2:14 -- For He Himself is our peace......

2 Thessalonians 3:16 -- May the Lord himself, who is our source of peace, give you peace at all times and in every way.

Affirmation: There is no adverse circumstance in my life that I cannot overcome with the God-kind of faith.

The whole of the New Testament, after the Gospels, has this one object: to get Christians to go on, and to go on to full growth -- into their eternal vocation -- their heavenly calling (the purpose of God for their lives). - T. Austin Sparks

We should pray because prayer is the most realistic thing in the world to do. It is our acknowledgment of reality, our right response to reality, our honesty with reality. - Peter Kreeft

With God's power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine. - Ephesians 3:20

You may have a strong impression that you simply know is from the Lord. When this happens you begin to experience a new realm of God's glory and manifest presence. From that, you have a new revelation of God. He is glory, and His presence causes the atmosphere around you to begin to change. It is like experiencing a little bit of heaven. - Chuck Pierce

How can we be sad, or hang our heads, or be distressed? Oh, if we only knew how rich we are! - Smith Wigglesworth

The church condemns violence, but it condemns indifference more harshly, Violence can be the expression of love, indifference never. - Graham Greene

Affirmation: I am dead to sin, dead to my former lusts, dead to this world, but alive unto God.

Acting in love when others are not acting in love toward you -- this is of the highest value to your soul. It is worth more than all the other works of faith you may have done, no matter how great they appear. - John of the Cross

In the meditative state rivers of living water will flow spontaneously from within us just as a natural river flows spontaneously from a spring. Characteristics of spontaneous flow include a sensitivity to and willingness to follow inner promptings, awareness of creative expression flowing within, and being uncomfortable living in "boxes". - Mark Virkler

"He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, Out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water." - John 7:38

We will never fully unite with Jesus unless we face the same disillusionment process as the disciples -- one of longing and disappointment in this world. If believers who profess love for God have never been through this inward longing, their love probably has not progressed very much. - Shawn Bolz

To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you. - C. S. Lewis

Affirmation: My highest purpose for this day is to walk with Him.

Jesus Christ operates through you. He does not operate independently of you. Man and God become united. Unless the spirit of man is truly joined to God, there is no such thing as real Christian manifestation. - John Lake

We must love Him with total disregard to dry spells and to times of spiritual abundance, otherwise we are built on sifting sand. - Jeanne Guyon

The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. - 1 John 2:17

We must experience a breaking out of old mind-sets and blindness in order to break into the revelation of what is to be ours (2 Cor4:3,4). Barbara Yoder

Anxiety is the natural result when our hopes are centered in anything short of God and His will for us. - Billy Graham

5. When the ________________is come, whom I will send

proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of __________.

2. Inheritance In Christ
Read Matthew Chapter 11

Matthew 11:12 - Until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

THE PEOPLE JESUS MINISTERED TO WERE HEALED OR DELIVERED BECAUSE OF THEIR FAITH. FAITH MAY QUIETLY PRESS IN, OR IT MAY CRY OUT VERY LOUDLY, BUT IT IS ALWAYS VIOLENT IN THE SPIRIT WORLD. IT GRABS HOLD OF AN INVISIBLE REALITY AND WON'T LET GO. TAKING THE KINGDOM BY FAITH IS THE VIOLENT ACT THAT IS NECESSARY TO COME INTO WHAT GOD HAS MADE AVAILABLE.
EVERY BELIEVER HAS THE POWER OF HEAVEN BEHIND THEM. BUT IT IS OUR FAITH THAT CONNECTS WHAT IS AVAILABLE TO THE CIRCUMSTANCES AT HAND. FAITH TAKES WHAT IS AVAILABLE AND MAKES IT ACTUAL.

Hebrews 4:12 - For the Word of God is living and powerful..........

For one who has faith in the Word of God, there is nothing impossible. There are no impossibilites when there is faith..........and there are no exceptions.......

Affirmations (Repeat and Meditate on These as You Go Throughout the Day):

MY FAITH IN GOD'S WORD IS NOT JUST AN ABIDING FAITH; IT IS ACTIVE - IT IS AGRESSIVE BY NATURE. IT HAS FOCUS AND PURPOSE.

MY FAITH GRABS HOLD OF THE REALITY OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN AND FORCEFULLY AND VIOLENTLY BRINGS IT INTO A COLLISION WITH THIS NATURAL ONE.

3. Dunamis Life

THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR

Hebrews 11:1 -- Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen.

As a title deed enables me to lay claim to property that belongs to me, so my faith enables me to lay claim to God's promises that belong to me.

Observation

If I build my faith -- my title deed -- on God's word, it won't matter if the devil hits my body, attacks my finances, or tries to steal my peace. I can kick him off my property because my faith will be the proof of ownership I need.

Nothing can stand in my way!
I build my house of faith and move in!

Into Action

What are you having faith for God to accomplish in your life today?

Affirmation: I choose people to associate with who who are an encouragement to me. I ignore the critics and keep on acting in accordance with my God-given vision.

We are called to an eternal sense of "destiny". What God has made us places upon us an obligation to fulfill the purpose for which we were formed. - Reinhard Bonnke

Jesus, I am resting, resting In the joy of what Thou art; I am finding out the greatness Of Thy loving heart. - Jean Sophia Pigott

"Take my yoke upon you and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." - Matthew 11:29

Imagine bringing a problem, wrapped in a "burden bundle," to the throne of Jesus. Picture Him reaching out and offering to take it. Does the picture include your being all too glad to turn it over to Him or do you imagine yourself hesitating? Remember that trust is a part of praise. - Jack Hayford

Whatever way His voice comes to you, it all bypasses the intellectual reasoning process, and is given to your spirit. (John 10:27) - Steve Sampson

Affirmation: I am a gateway for Heaven's reality to take over every part of my life, and the lives of people who I influence.

As we receive fresh divine revelation we are empowered to use that revelation as a key for breakthrough. - Sandie Freed

God did not intend the body to relate to the spiritual or supernatural world. Our five senses are all related to the natural, physical world. God never intended man to be controlled or limited by his physical body. You were not created to be intimidated by your environment. - Myles Munroe

Encourage one another and build each other up. - 1 Thessalonians 5:1

When a materialist encounters spiritual things, he has no box in which to put them. He either has to ignore them completely or explain them by natural means, like the bystanders who said God's voice was simply thunder (John 12, 28,29). - Bill Johnson

Isn't it worth the trouble to deny myself daily in order to meet God? - Andrew Murray

Affirmation: I must dig my own well. I must go deeper. I must have my own revelation from the Father of who Jesus is.

The Holy Spirit wants to use your life to manifest, prove, and confirm the reality of the unseen realm. - Keith Miller

Abraham and Moses weren't afraid to inquire. Jesus often asked people questions to get them to consider a better way of living and thinking. God loves believers who are willing to become great question askers. - Steve Munsey

"One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after; ....to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple." - Psalm 27:4

The Lord is calling you to walk by faith in His Divine presence. With a simple vision of your Lord and with intense love toward Him -- like a child would have toward its mother -- cast yourself into the gentle bosom of your Lord. - Michael Molinos

Lord, as we gather in one accord waiting upon You, pour out Pentecost and revival upon us. Amen - William J. Seymour (May 1908)

2. He that soweth the good seed is_________________;
the field is _____________; the good seed are the children

4. The Kingdom of heaven is like a merchant who had found
one pearl of great price, went out and sold ______________
that he had, and ________________it.

5. When Jesus came into His own country they were
_______________at Him; and He did not many mighty
works because of their______________.

2. Inheritance in Christ
Read the Epistle of 2 Timothy

Paul wrote the second letter to his young missionary associate Timothy in A.D.66 -- about two years after he wrote 1 Timothy. Imprisioned for the second time in Rome, Paul expected to be executed at any time. There is a pathetic strain of loneliness running through the episitle, and it is not surprising the he was anxious to see Timothy, his son in the gospel, and to exhort him in his ministry.

Main Themes:

a. Reminds Timothy of his godly ancestry, and exhorts him to earnestness and courage.
b. A Christian minister requires determination, prayer, and commitment to holiness and righteousness in one's daily walk.
c. He counsels Timothy to "flee... youthful lusts" and to "follow righteousness, faith, charity, and peace.
d. Shun religious arguments and strange doctrines which eat into spiritual life and overthrow faith.
e. It should be the ambition of all to be "vessels" for the Masters use.
f. An appeal to Timothy to be steadfast in view of his spiritual opportunities and training in the scriptures.
g. Avoid foolish questions and strife -- patient treatment of opposers, with the hope that they will repent.
h. As the time for Jesus' return, draws near, evil will grow stronger, even within the fellowship of the church.

Affirmations: (Repeat and Meditate on These as You Go throughout the Day)

God did not give me the spirit of fear but a spirit of power, of love and of self-dicipline. (2 Timothy 1:7)

For He saved me from all that is evil and called me to a life of holiness - not because of any of my achievements but for His own purpose. Before time began He planned to give me in Jesus Christ the grace to achieve this purpose. (2 Timothy 1:9)

The Lord grants me understanding in everything. (2 Timothy 2:7)

I convince, rebuke, and exhort others in the Word through teaching and patience. (2 Timothy 4:2)

I fight the good fight of faith, finish the race, and keep the faith. (2 Timothy 4:7)

3. Dunamis Life

Grabbing Hold Of The Reality

Hebrews 4:12 -- For the word of God is living and powerful............

For one who has faith in the word of God, there is nothing impossible. There are no impossibilities when there is faith....and there are no exceptions.....

Observation

My faith in God's word is not just an abiding faith; it is active -- it is aggressive by nature.

It has focus and purpose.

Faith grabs hold of the reality of the Kingdom and forcefully and violently brings it into a collision with this natural one.

An inferior kingdom cannot stand.

Matthew 11:12 -- And from the days of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of Heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

Romans 10:17 -- So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Into Action

What vision has God put into your heart?

How are you violently applying your faith?

Affirmation: My ever praising God transforms the negative assault of the enemy into a spring of sweet waters which refreshes me.

Begin your day by walking the floor & worshiping God. You've got to stir up the gift that's within you and get your mind functioning right. (2Tim1:6) - Norvel Hayes

Exercising faith to fulfill your call will always result in permanent spiritual results - "fruit which remains" measured by the lives you have dramatically changed. - Dennis Cramer

"You did not choose me, but I chose you to go and bear fruit - fruit that will last, Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name." - John 15:16

When we emphasize personal salvation more than a personal Savior, we are asking people to put their trust in an experience rather than in Jesus Christ. - Ros Rinker

Man is free, for he is in the image of divine liberty; and that is why he has the power to choose. - Paul Evdokimov

Affirmation: My identity is truly in the Lord Jesus Christ and my priestly calling is to minister and intercede for others on a daily basis.

It should be our goal every day to see the Lord more clearly, to be more occupied with Him so that He will more fully occupy our heart. - Rich Joyner

Fallow ground is ground which has once been tilled but which now lies waste. It needs to be broken up and mellowed before it is again ready to receive grain. Examine and note the state of your mind - see where you are. Go deep and turn the ground up so that it will all be mellow and soft. Then it will be ready to receive the seed and bear fruit a hundredfold. - Charles Finney

"And other seeds fell into good soil and brought forth grain..." - Mark 4:9

When you ask yourself, "Do I have enough faith?" you have already put faith as a hindrance between you and Jesus' finished work. The more you focus on your faith, the more faith slips away. But if you focus on the finished work of Christ and see God's grace toward you, God sees that as faith! - Joseph Prince

Pride has a devilish quality that keeps us from sensing our need for God's grace. - Jim Cymbala

Affirmation: The power that I have been given to testify of the coming Kingdom is the power of life, which is more precious than anything I could ever possess on this earth.

2. Inheritance in Christ
Read The Epistle of Titus

Main Themes:

Paul wrote this epistle about A.D. 63 to his missionary associate Titus, whom he had sent to work with the church on the island of Crete in the Mediterranean Sea. The residents of Crete were know for their depraved behavior. But Paul had confidence that Titus could handle the situation. In the second letter to the Corinthians, the apostle described Titus as a reliable, hardworking, and dependable leader.

In his letter to Titus, Paul instructed Titus to appoint leaders for the Cretan church, to discipline those who were teaching false doctrine, and to lead the believers to practice godly behavior. Nevertheless this epistle does not teach salvation by works.

Affirmations: (Repeat and Meditate on These as You Go Throughout the Day)

As a priest unto God I further the faith of God's elect and their knowledge of the truth.
(Titus 1:1)

Through God's grace I give up everything that does not lead to God and renounce godless
ways and worldly desires. (Titus 2:12)

God poured out His Holy Spirit abundantly on me through Jesus Christ my Savior, so that by His grace I might be put right with God and come into posession of the eternal life I hope for. (Titus 3:6,7)

The Mind Of Christ

1 Corinthians 2:16 -- For who has know or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ, the Messiah, and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart. (AMP)

First Corinthians 6:17 says that when you were joined to the Lord you became one spirit with Him. He came into union with you so that He can talk to your heart to heart -- His thoughs become your actions.

He wants you to walk so closely with Him that you never lack power to overcome the evil of this world, and feel His heart of compassion toward those that are hurting or afflicted with sickness and pain. He wants to be one with you, so He can reach out through your hands and fulfill His purposes in the earth.

Affirmations

I make a fresh commitment to walk in union with God.

I give my attention to His Spirit in my inner man.

I determine to yield to His voice and not the voices of the world or the flesh (senses)!

2. Inheritance in Christ
Read the epistle 2 Peter

The epistle was probably written from Rome just befor Peter's martyrdom in that city about A.D. 68.

Peter warns that false teachers from within the church will rise up in the future to lead believers astray. The church should be on guard against such heresies.

The second coming of Jesus and the final judgment (1 Thess. 4:13-17) will happen in God's own time. The fact that they haven't yet happened doesn't mean that God is slow or apathetic. Rather, He is loving and long-suffering waiting for others to respond to His offer of salvation. He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

While waiting for the Lord to return, Peter declares that believers should live as holy and godly people, continuing to "grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (2 Thess. 3:6-15)

Affirmations (Repeat and Meditate on These as You Go Throughout the Day):

He has granted to me His exceeding great and precious promises, that through these I might escape from the corruption that is in the world through lust and become a partaker of the devine nature. (II Peter 1:4)

I have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of God who has called me to glory and virtue. (II Peter 1:3)

3. Dunamis Life

SPEAKING FROM YOUR SPIRIT

2 Corinthians 4:13 -- We have the same spirit of faith as he (the psalmist) who wrote, 'I have believed and therefore have spoken.' We too believe, and therefore we speak.

To speak by faith is simply to speak words that agree with the word of God instead of the circumstances around you.... It's speaking from your spirit instead of from your mind.

The Bible tells us that God uses words to "call those things which be not as though they were" (Romans 4:17).

Affirmations

I speak the end result of what God's word tells me about my situation as opposed to the way it appears to the senses.

I stop "telling it like it is" and start speaking and believing the promises of God.

I put the power of God's word to work for me.

Proverbs 18:21 -- Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

It was in the consistent performance of Zacharias's duties that his "kairos" time of visitation came, and his prayer for a child (John the Baptist) was answered. 2. Inheritance in Christ
Read the epistle of 1 Peter

The letter is addressed to believers who had been scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia. Harassment from Roman officials had forced Christians to flee to these distant territories. Peter encouraged these suffering believers to follow the example of Christ. His persecution and death -- and subsequent resurrection -- provided assurance and hope of the future.

Some of the main themes of the epistle:

a. The basis of the believer's hope is Jesus Christ and His resurrection from the dead. He alone provides salvation and the promise of eternal life.

b. Jesus is the living stone who serves as the foundation for the faith of believers. Those who place their faith in Him are delivered from their sins. They become part of God's "royal priesthood, an holy nation" that bears witness of Him and His kingdom to others.

c. Believers are to use Jesus and His suffering to endure persecution for His sake with a willing and joyous spirit.

d. Respectful and humble behavior by wives might lead their unbelieving husbands to the Lord.

e. Believers are to be united in the Lord, to practice humility and love, and to resist the temptation to seek revenge against those who are causing them pain and suffering.

f. The reason for His suffering was "that He might bring us to God." He is now exalted at God's right hand. All earthly powers and authorities are subject to Him (Rev.19:1-6).

g. Peter appeals to believers to practice love and hospitality toward others, thus serving as "good stewards of the manifold grace of God."

h. It should not surprise Christians that they are called on to suffer persecution for their faith. According to Peter this is actually a badge of honor (Hebrews 12:3-11). Just as Christ's suffering was the prelude to His glorification with the Father, so it will be for all believers.

Affirmations (Repeat and Meditate on These as You Go throughout the Day)

Christ personally bore my sins in His own body on the cross , so that I might cease to live for sin and begin to live for righteousness. It was the suffering which he bore which has healed me. (1 Peter 2:24)

I have received a spiritual gift to serve others faithfully, administering God’s grace. When I speak I speak words that seem to come from God; I help as though every order was done at God’s orders, so that in everything God may receive the glory through Jesus Christ since to Him belongs all glory and power for ever and ever. (1 Peter 4:10,11)

If a person's identity is wrapped up in world pursuits (even noble ones), it will be easy to give in to a lesser love than God. Compromise occurs when we substitute God's offer with a less satisfying earthly role, lifestyle, or relationship. Substituting a person for God can be spiritually costly. - Shawn Bolz

Our grasp of what is going on around us is warped by our episodes of pain - they create "filters" that muffle what we hear and see. Your filter will disqualify you; it will mute out any promise or commission from God that exceeds your preconceived limits. This negative cloud will delay and dilute God's voice to you. - Mario Murillo

We will be much better off if we spent more time building up our inner man that the outer. The Lord has invested "the riches of His glory" in our inner man, so how much more value should we give to it? - Rick Joyner

2. Inheritance in Christ
Read the Book of Philippians

Chapter 1
Paul's personal disclosure of his inner life and his attitude toward the church -- his chief concern is for the faithfulness of the church in the midst of her persecutions, to remain loyal to Christ.

Chapter 2
Paul encourages the Philippians to seek the mind of Christ and live holy and righteous lives in the midst of a selfish world.
Christ was God's Son -- fully divine -- but He came to earth in the form of a man -- fully human -- to bring salvation and eternal life to all who believe.

Chapter 3
Paul warns against the corrupting influence of the Jewish Christians who were teaching that the Jewish law must be kept before they could be Christians. Paul instructs that true righteousness comes only through faith in Jesus Christ.
We are to leave the past behind us.
We are to "Press Toward" the destiny God has called us to.

Chapter 4
Paul makes a personal appeal to steadfastness, unity, helpfulness, moderation, freedom from anxious care, prayerfulness, and avoidance of high thinking.

3. Dunamis Life

Tearing Down Strongholds

2 Corinthians 10:4 -- For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.

A stronghold is a satanic force that starts as a thought, then lays its foundation in a person's mind, builds itself up and makes its abode there.

You can't simply cast down a stronghold as you would cast down an evil thought or imagination. You need the word of God to become like a hammer in your life in order to tear down that stronghold and get it out of your system.

Hebrews 4:12 -- For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword.........

Proverbs 4:17 -- My son, attend to my words........

Proverbs 18:10 -- The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous run to it and are safe.

Questions To Ask Myself

What stronghold in my life needs to be demolished?

How can I get rid of a stronghold? By having a strong tower!
What word or words of God am I going to use for my strong tower?
