2. Inheritance in Christ
Read Galatians Chapters 1-3

Main Themes:
A defense of the Doctrine of Justification by Faith, warnings against Reversion to Jewish ceremonial laws, and a vindication of Paul's Apostleship.

Chapter 1:
Paul proclaims the gospel which he preached came directly by revelation from Christ. He expresses his disappointment that the Galatians have turned away from the true gospel he has preached to them and are now following a false gospel preached by a group of Christian Jews.

Chapter 2:
Paul declares that faith alone justifies a person in God's sight. Nothing else is to be added to this basic requirements for salvation. (Romans 3:28)

Chapter 3:
Paul states that anyone who would exchange the grace of Jesus Christ for keeping the Jewish law, as the Galatians were tempted to do, was foolish indeed. The Jewish Christians had been insisting on making Gentiles sons of Abraham through the rite of circumcision. But Paul declares that Gentile Christians are already Abraham's sons because they share the faith that he demonstrated.
He indicates the purpose of the law as a schoolmaster to prepare the way for Christ.

Affirmations (Repeat and Meditate on These
as You Go Throughout the Day)

Galatians 2:20 - I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Galatians 3:14 - Through Jesus Christ I receive the blessings of Abraham and the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 3:28 - I am in Christ Jesus

Galatians 3:29 - Since I am in Christ, the promises God made to Abraham are all mine.

3. Dunamis Life

Framing Your World
1 Samuel 17:46 -- "This day will the Lord deliver you into my hands; and I will smite you, and take your head from you; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord's, and He will give you into our hands."

David framed his world -- before he ever fought Goliath, he called out what the outcome would be. He called things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17). By faith, David said, "The Lord is going to give you into my hands today, Goliath, and I'm going to cut off your head!"

God wants us to be successful in our praying and in our saying. If he didn't want us to succeed, he wouldn't have given us a pattern by which we could frame our world.
